During our leisure time we love to travel and explore new places. We've been all over the U.S. and have recently started traveling internationally as well. We try to travel to a good mixture of cities, mountains, and beaches to mix things up. Since we have family scattered around the U.S., it makes it easy to travel to new locations while seeing family at the same time. Our trips are always action packed since we are so excited to explore and see new things. We love trying the local cuisine, attending concerts, watching sporting events, or going on a hike (or walk).

In her spare time, Meagan enjoys cooking. She is constantly looking for new recipes to try and loves to bake during the holidays. She also enjoys curling up with a good book, attending rock concerts, spending time outdoors (hiking or camping) and photography.

Conrad loves anything technology related. He likes to play video games and enjoys photography. He also really likes to work on small projects around the house. He has also always been active and enjoys any sort of physical activity (hiking, cycling, and playing sports). He loves watching baseball and has a goal to visit all of the U.S. ballparks.

Meagan About Conrad:I love Conrad's adventurous spirit. He is always excited to go new places and try new things. He pulls me out of my comfort zone (in a good way) and helps me expand my horizons. He has a big heart and truly cares for his family and those that he calls his friends. He is an amazing partner to me and always looks out for my best interest. His work ethic is like no other and I know that he will succeed in whatever he sets his mind to. His sense of humor is extremely silly and goofy and he will definitely be the "fun parent" when we have a child.

Conrad About Meagan: Meagan is genuinely the best person I've ever met. She has the biggest heart when it comes to helping others. She is so patient and willing to sit and listen if someone just needs to talk. She just gets people and is great at being there when you need someone. She is also incredibly funny and always making me laugh and can easily turn a moment around by seeing the best in situations. Once of Meagan's qualities that stood out when we first started dating was her taste in music. She has the best taste in music, and we have been able to experience some amazing concerts over the years. She always have a playlist on standby. Even chores are fun with her.

Meagan has a big extended family in Florida and they love to get together for holidays. For Thanksgiving and Christmas we always do a potluck style dinner where everyone brings their favorite dish to share. Even though we are all adults now, the cousins still typically sit at the "kids table" together. For Christmas we also do a secret Santa gift exchange. It is so much fun and there have even been a few gag gifts thrown in there over the years.

We've also started our own family traditions since being married. On Saturday mornings we always go out for coffee and breakfast. There are so many coffee shops and cafes in the area that we never get tired of it. For Halloween we always carve jack-o-lanterns and pass out candy to the local neighborhood kids. Around Christmastime we also love to watch holiday movies on TV or at the drive in movie theater. We can't wait to have a child to share these traditions with as well as start new ones!

We currently live in a large, diverse, metropolitan area in Texas. There is always something to do whether its trying a new restaurant or food truck, listening to live music, or spending time outdoors. There are a lot of parks and hiking trails that are very close by, which we use often. One of our favorite things to do in the summer is to have a picnic at one of the larger parks near downtown and watch the sunset.

We picked our neighborhood because it is a safe and quiet community yet still only a short drive to the downtown area. Our neighbors are a mix of cultures, ages, and family sizes, but there are many families with young children. We are in one of the best school districts in the area and the local elementary school is within walking distance of our home. One of the things we love about our neighborhood is the greenbelt hiking trail at the end of our street. The trail ends at a park and has multiple playgrounds along the way.

We bought our three-bedroom house last year and have spent a lot of time making it our own. Meagan loves to cook so we spend a lot of time congregating around the kitchen. We also enjoy lazy weekends drinking coffee and relaxing on the couch with our two cats, Finn and Piper.

Unfortunately our families don't live close by, but we see them (and they see us) several times a year. Most of our family is located in a large metropolitan area on the west coast of Florida. When we visit we love going to the beach, hanging out by the pool, having a cookout, or just spending quality time together.

Conrad's mom is retired but keeps herself very active with her church. Conrad's dad works for a major home improvement store and plans to retire soon. Meagan's mom is a "snow bird" and spends her summers in the mountains of North Carolina and her winters in Florida. Her dad is retired but likes to keep himself busy with cooking, watching sci-fi and doing genealogy research. Both sets of parents are extremely excited to welcome a grandchild into the family.

Meagan's extended family loves to get together often for major holidays, vacations, camping trips, or just because. One of our favorite traditions is getting together for Christmas. Everyone brings a dish and we just eat and talk all day until everyone is completely stuffed. We then all exchange Secret Santa gifts and try to guess who got each other which gift.

Thank you so much for getting to know us better and considering us as future parents for your baby. We can't imagine what you are going through, or how difficult this decision must be. If given a chance to raise your child as our own, please know that we will do everything in our power to help them understand that this decision was not easy and it was made because of the immeasurable amount of love you have for them.

Although our road to becoming parents has not been an easy one, it has truly brought us closer together. We've been partners for six years, and married for three. We knew pretty early on in our relationship that we both wanted to become parents. Neither of us expected that it would be so difficult. Coming to terms with not being able to have our own biological child was hard, but that journey taught us so much about ourselves individually and as a couple. Our relationship is stronger than ever and we are now so appreciative for the opportunity to become parents through adoption.

We definitely will not be perfect parents (Conrad has never changed a diaper), but we will try our hardest every day to provide a wonderful life for your child. They will be welcomed into our family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins with open arms. They will have the love and support of not only our extended families, but also from our friends. We will embrace their unique culture and heritage and help them learn as much as they can about their roots. We will teach them right from wrong, how to be a kind and compassionate human, and hopefully instill a lifelong love for learning. They will get the opportunity to travel all over the globe and experience new cultures, foods, and experiences alongside us. We will encourage them to explore their own unique interests and hobbies whatever those may be. We will wipe away their tears and kiss their boo-boos. We will tuck them into bed each night and check for monsters under the bed. We already have so much love for this little person that we have not yet met.

We also want you to share in this life with us, while respecting your boundaries. We are committed to sending you letters, pictures, and mementos often. If you are open to it we would also exchange texts, phone calls, and video chats. We will openly share your child's adoption story with them and always talk about you in a positive light. We will ensure that your child knows that you love them very much, no matter the circumstances. If you are open to it, we would love for you to be part of our extended family, but we will also respect your privacy if that is what is best for you.

Hopefully we've given you a glimpse into our lives and provided you with the reassurance that your child would grow up in a safe, happy, and loving home. We would be honored and grateful if chosen to be your child's parents. No matter what you decide, we know that you will choose what is best for you and your baby.
