Robert & Jessi
Thank you for opening your heart to learning more about our family and even considering us. Adoption has profoundly shaped our lives, giving us the incredible gift of being parents to our son. We are excited to welcome another child, to surround them with endless love and laughter, always cherishing who they are and honoring who they dream to be. We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.
Adoption in Our Lives

We have a bright, playful, and creative 3-year-old son, Camden, who joined our family through adoption. We met his birth mom a few months before he was born, which allowed us to build a strong connection, and we are so grateful to have a beautiful, open relationship with her. We were honored to be at the hospital with her when Camden was born, a memory that will always hold a special place in our hearts. Camden calls her "Mama Cheyenne," and we stay in touch through emails, photo updates, and an annual visit. Around Camden's second birthday, we had the chance to meet his birth father, and since then, have enjoyed getting to know him a little more as well. As we grow our family through adoption, we deeply value the importance of these relationships—for both us and our children.
Camden is an energetic explorer with a never-ending supply of energy that keeps us on our toes in the most delightful way. He has a passion for Hot Wheels, construction vehicles, and tools, and can often be found racing cars or "fixing" things around the house. We love spending weekends out and about with him including visiting museums, botanical gardens, and playgrounds. Camden's curiosity and creativity shine every day, and we can't wait to see how his personality grows as a big brother.
Our Lifestyle

Our lifestyle centers around family and creating joyful memories together. We cherish family time—whether it's a cozy dinner at home, a weekend barbecue in our backyard, or watching Camden ride his bike during family walks. We believe in the simple joys of togetherness, and we prioritize quality time with each other, our friends, family, and our community.

Our weekends are full of activities that nurture Camden's curiosity and creativity, from visits to the children's museum and the zoo to fun afternoons at the botanical gardens or cheering at a Spurs game. We can't wait to learn the types of activities that this child will love and see our family time grow to include their unique interests. Jessi works from home, which allows her to balance family life with her exciting career in education technology, where she leads a passionate team dedicated to creating access for all. Robert, who supports financial operations in the corporate office of a large restaurant chain, enjoys bringing people together through food.
Our home is warm and inviting, filled with books, toys, and creative spaces. We value education and intentional parenting, encouraging children to be kind, curious, and ambitious. Our days are filled with love, laughter, and a shared commitment to making our home a nurturing space for everyone to grow and thrive.
Cultural Diversity
As we raise our child, we're committed to creating a home where their heritage is celebrated in meaningful, everyday ways. Growing up in diverse communities has shaped our values; Jessi's childhood as part of a military family meant moving across six states and Japan, while Robert's took him from Baltimore to Hawaii. These experiences have taught us the importance of surrounding our child with positive role models and a supportive, inclusive environment.
We'll fill our home with books, art, and toys that reflect and celebrate our child's background, so they feel represented and proud of their identity. Living in San Antonio, we have access to diverse cultural events, and we're excited to explore festivals and traditions that honor their heritage. We'll also seek out mentors and friends from similar backgrounds to provide connections that go beyond our own experiences.
Our goal is for our child to grow up feeling deeply connected to who they are, surrounded by friends and a community that reflects the richness of the world. We want them to know that their heritage is something to be embraced and celebrated, every single day.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our home in San Antonio, Texas, is warm, welcoming, and ready to grow with our family. With three bedrooms, a spacious office, a breakfast nook, a cozy living room, great kitchen, and a big playroom, there's plenty of space for creativity, laughter, and making memories. One of our favorite spots is the backyard, which is full of fun for kids—a swing set, playhouse, and plenty of room to explore. In the summer, Camden loves playing with his water table and setting up his backyard pool. The large patio is perfect for Sunday grilling and family gatherings, while Jessi tends her garden with Camden, growing herbs, strawberries and tomatoes, and Robert takes pride in keeping the yard looking great—it's often admired as one of the best in the neighborhood.
We live in a family-friendly, gated community filled with other young families. Each Wednesday, neighbors gather for "food truck night," where a new food truck brings excitement and new flavors. During Halloween and Christmas, the neighborhood shines with decorating contests that fill the streets with festive cheer. Families enjoy the community pool, parks, and playdates, creating a fun and supportive environment for kids to grow and thrive.
The schools in our area are excellent, and we're just a short drive from downtown San Antonio, a vibrant cultural hub with rich history and endless activities. We love living in a community that embraces families, and we can't wait to welcome a child to share in the warmth and joy of our home and neighborhood.
Our Extended Families

We feel incredibly fortunate to have so much love and support from our families. We both grew up as the eldest in big families—Robert is one of seven siblings, and Jessi is one of four. Growing up with so many younger siblings, we became natural caregivers early on.

Robert's family, originally from Baltimore, is passionate about sports, often gathering to cheer on their favorite teams. Food always brings everyone together, especially at Thanksgiving, where we cherish traditions around the dishes and desserts we make. Birthdays and holidays are always celebrated in a big way, with special dinners and get-togethers that bring everyone closer.
Jessi's family is just as close. With her dad in the military, she and her siblings moved often as kids, creating fun memories and stories from traveling the world together. Her siblings have little boys, just like us, and we love getting the kids together—it adds so much energy and excitement to family gatherings. Her parents are loving, active grandparents who adore taking our son on adventures, like trips to museums and zoos.
Both of our families couldn't be more excited to welcome another child into our family through adoption. This child will be surrounded by warmth, support, and so much love in every direction.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
We know that the decisions you are making weigh heavy on your heart and that this journey is a difficult one. We can't begin to imagine what you are going through, but we admire you so much and know that your choices are a reflection of the deepest and purest kind of love. No matter where you are on this journey or where you arrive in your decisions, please know how much we support you and respect you.
We have been together for 12 years and married for 5. Our relationship is rooted in love, respect, and teamwork. We are best friends and partners who navigate life's challenges and joys together, always striving to bring out the best in one another. The foundation of our marriage is a shared commitment to family and creating a home filled with love, support, and connection.
Three years ago, we were blessed to become parents through adoption, welcoming our spirited son, Camden, into our lives. Becoming parents has been the greatest joy of our lives, and we are so excited to expand our family once again. Camden is a bright, playful, and curious little boy who fills our home with light and laughter. We can't wait to see him step into the role of big brother and to watch this child's unique personality, interests, and talents unfold as they grow.
Our adoption journey has been shaped by love and connection. We met Camden's birth mom a few months before he was born and built a strong bond that continues to this day. Camden calls her "Mama Cheyenne," and we cherish our relationship with her through emails, photo updates, and annual visits. About a year ago, we had the chance to meet Camden's birth father, and it has been wonderful to grow that connection as well. We've even spent time with Camden's biological siblings, grandparents, aunt, and cousin. These relationships are deeply meaningful to us and central to how we view adoption—they give Camden a sense of connection and love from all sides of his family story.
As we grow our family through adoption, we are committed to honoring and building a relationship with you in a way that feels comfortable and natural for everyone. We promise to stay connected through letters and pictures, sharing updates, memories, and milestones as this child grows. We are also open to more contact, such as visits.
Most importantly, we want you to know how much we will love and cherish this child. We promise to provide a home where they will always feel safe, supported, and unconditionally loved. We will celebrate who they are and encourage their dreams, nurturing their unique personality and strengths every step of the way.
Because of you, we have the opportunity to grow our family, and our gratitude and admiration for you are beyond words. All we can do is vow to love this child wholeheartedly, to honor their story, and to remain committed to doing what is best for them. Thank you for allowing us to share a little bit of our hearts with you, and thank you for considering us as part of this journey.
With love and respect,
Robert & Jessi
