Why We Chose Adoption

Our Family

When our son was born, Christine faced several complications during delivery, and we later learned that she had severe stage 4 endometriosis. Since then, she has undergone numerous surgeries, and we have made every effort to grow our family naturally. As time passed, however, we came to realize that adoption was the path we were meant to take. When Christine was told that a hysterectomy would be necessary, it was a difficult moment, but one that also brought clarity. Adoption has always been in our hearts as we had initially planned to adopt later in life. However, Christine's health journey allowed us the opportunity to embrace adoption sooner than we originally thought, opening our hearts and home to a child now.

We look forward to this new chapter with excitement and deep gratitude, eager to embrace both the joys and challenges ahead. To be considered as your child's adoptive parents is a gift beyond measure, one that we do not take lightly. We are truly honored by your consideration and want you to know how deeply committed we are to providing a loving, nurturing, and supportive environment. If you choose us, it would be the greatest privilege to cherish, support, and guide your child through life's journey, knowing they are loved by all who brought them into our lives.

Our Leisure Time

Christine Practicing Piano

We both enjoy leisure activities that nurture our creativity, keep us active, and support our personal growth. We look forward to sharing these experiences with a child, fostering creativity, health, and a lifelong love of learning.

Jeremiah Volunteering as a Sound Engineer at Church

Christine loves to unwind with a good book, whether it's a fantasy novel or a self-growth book. In addition to reading, she expresses her creativity through playing the piano, drawing, writing, and baking. Creativity is a true passion of hers, and she's excited to pass that on. One of the activities she's especially looking forward to is reading to her child and teaching them how to fuel their own passions. Christine also enjoys staying active with yoga, which she finds both mindful and peaceful. She's already put together an easy kids' yoga routine that she's excited to share.

Jeremiah's leisure time focuses on activities that promote physical health and mental growth. He stays physically active by running and weightlifting. Cooking offers him a chance to experiment with new recipes, combining his love for healthy living with culinary creativity. Jeremiah loves to learn about different topics like fitness, nutrition, philosophy, psychology, technology, and economics to keep learning new things. He has a passion for music too - he plays the guitar and volunteers as a sound engineer at their church, which allows him to blend his technical skills with his commitment to giving back to the community.

Our Family Traditions

Hiking With Family in Deep Creek, Maryland

Both sides of our family cherish unique traditions that we actively participate in together, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

Christine's family enjoys frequent gatherings where we share meals, watch football, or attend local events. Additionally, her mom's side organizes an annual family reunion at a state park, which is a highlight of our year. These reunions are filled with outdoor activities and provide many opportunities for bonding and creating lasting memories.

Jeremiah's family also values family reunions, which are lively events with many children for Elijah and his future sibling to play with. Each year, we also go on a big family vacation that everyone looks forward to. These vacations are packed with activities that keep us active and in the evenings we cook meals for each other, play games, and enjoy relaxing while the children play together.

During the holidays, we make sure that our time is equally divided between Christine's and Jeremiah's parents, maintaining close ties and celebrating our family traditions with love and joy.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in a two-story house with four bedrooms and plenty of space to learn and grow! Some of our favorite spaces are the playroom, backyard, and kitchen, where we often cook meals together as a family and catch up on the day's events. Christine loves working with plants, providing many of the rooms in our house with a cozy and vibrant atmosphere.

Our home is ideally located just outside a popular tourist area, giving us the best of both worlds. We're close enough to easily enjoy attractions like a theme park, a zoo, fantastic restaurants, and many local playgrounds, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of our neighborhood. Our small, friendly community is growing and offers the safety we wanted, with minimal traffic, making it a perfect place for children to play and explore.

We're also part of a church that is a few minutes down the street from us. Our church has a youth ministry with over 100 kids, giving us plenty of opportunities to help your child make friends and participate in fun events.

Along with our church, our local community and township hosts different events throughout the year allowing many opportunities to make memories. A few local events we've attended are Fall festivals, meeting Santa, Easter egg hunts, and firework displays.

Both our home and community are filled with love, and we know it will be the perfect place for a child to grow and thrive.

Our Extended Families

With Christine's Parents

We're both fortunate to live within a 10-minute drive of our families, and spending time with them is a big part of our lives.

Christine's parents cherish family time, and we recently enjoyed a vacation with them in Delaware, where we visited Christine's aunt and uncle. They invited us to explore the area, and we'd love to continue this tradition with your child as part of our family adventures.

With Jeremiah's Family

Jeremiah's family also loves spending time together by being active and exploring through family hikes, escape rooms, and attending local events. Every year, we plan a big family vacation to explore nature's beauty—recent trips have taken us to Chattanooga and Bar Harbor where Jeremiah loves convincing the family to join him on as many hikes as possible.

One fun holiday tradition we have is between Jeremiah and his cousin. Each year, they challenge each other to make their Christmas gifts as hard to open as possible. The whole family gathers around to enjoy watching the competition.

Both of our families are excited and supportive of our adoption plan. We all can't wait to welcome your child into our family and surround them with love, support, and the joy we've always known.

From Us to You

Hello! Our names are Christine and Jeremiah, and we want to begin by expressing our deepest respect for you as you navigate this incredibly personal and difficult decision. The strength and love it takes to consider adoption speak volumes about your character and the profound care you have for your child. We understand that this journey is filled with complex emotions, and we want you to know that you are in our hearts as you make the best choices for you and your baby.

As you read the following letter, please know that we intend to share a glimpse of who we are and the loving home we hope to provide. We are committed to honoring your wishes and ensuring that your child grows up knowing their story and the love that surrounds their adoption.

To share a little more about us, we each bring unique strengths that complement each other well, creating a strong and balanced partnership. Christine is a caregiver at heart, full of creativity and compassion, always putting others first. Jeremiah is disciplined and focused on growth, always working hard and pushing himself to improve. Together, we balance each other perfectly, constantly supporting and challenging one another in ways we could never have imagined. Our shared values of love, family, and personal growth form the foundation of our relationship, and we bring those same values into our parenting.

Adoption has always been part of our family vision. We imagined welcoming a child into our home after our children were grown, keeping our family full of love and life. When we encountered challenges growing our family due to Christine's endometriosis and eventual hysterectomy, we realized that our journey to adoption could begin sooner than we'd expected. We feel deeply grateful for this path and all the love it will bring into our lives.

,p>We imagine life with your child as a meaningful journey, where we all learn from each other and grow as a family. We are eager to pass down our values?"compassion for others, confidence, discipline, and a growth mindset. Most importantly, we want to provide a home filled with unconditional love and endless support. Everything we do is for our children, and we promise to encourage, support, and challenge your child to become the best version of themselves.

Our families are a huge part of our lives, and they couldn't be more excited to welcome a new child. Both sets of grandparents live nearby and are very involved in our daily lives. The church that Jeremiah grew up in is deeply committed to adoption, with multiple families, including the pastor, having adopted children. This child will grow up surrounded by love, not just from us but from our extended family and community, all of whom are eager to see them thrive.

We are also looking forward to the opportunity to remain in contact through letters, pictures, phone calls, or in-person visits if that is something you're comfortable with. We see the value in an open adoption and believe that staying connected could provide important benefits for your child. Our goal is to ensure that this child knows they are loved by everyone involved in their life.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope that by sharing a bit of our story, you can feel the love, care, and commitment we have for this child. We understand the weight of this incredibly difficult decision and are honored that you're considering us to be part of your child's life. We promise to provide them with a nurturing and supportive environment where they can grow and succeed, surrounded by people who love them deeply.

Thank you again for considering us.

With love,

Jeremiah & Christine
