Jeremy & Abby
"We loved you before we even knew you, even when there was just a hope for you, we loved you." This quote applies to both you and your birth child. Please let us love you both and help us fill our open hearts and home. Thank you so much for reading our profile and considering us to be your child's adoptive parents. Know that our hopes, prayers, and love are with you both.
Adoption in Our Lives
We have always wanted to grow our family through adoption, even before fully knowing all of our infertility issues. We had no idea how blessed we would be when we were matched in our first adoption journey a few years ago.
In October of 2020, we received a call that a baby girl had been born two days prior and that we'd been selected by the birth mother as her adoptive parents. We adopted our only child Annabelle with the entire process being a dream come true. We frequently state that we "won the adoption lottery" as parenting her has been everything that we could have ever hoped for.
We hope that adopting another child will provide each of them with someone to share experiences and feelings with about their mutual adoptions. We maintain communication with her birth family and share photos and videos often.
We believe that having been through the adoption process previously is a great benefit for us as we enter with our eyes wide open and a full understanding of the nuances of the process.
Our Passions
Jeremy is the ultimate handyman but his true love is woodworking. If Abby can dream it up, Jeremy can make it a reality. He has built several projects around the house including a new outdoor sectional and a porch swing, but his greatest achievement is a pair of matching hidden door bookcases in the basement family room. He loves doing household projects with his little helper and looks forward to teaching our children skills as they grow. He also spends at least one night a week trying to stay in shape by playing men's league ice hockey with friends.
Abby has been singing since she was a little girl and now leads music in worship at our church most weeks. She loves being able to connect people with God through her gift of music. She and Annabelle have frequent sing along parties to all types of music, but mostly Broadway musicals or Disney songs. Abby is passionate about STEM and volunteers her time teaching and mentoring girls from elementary through high school in STEM activities. She is also the lead advisor for a local chapter of her college sorority and gains great satisfaction by watching her collegiates grow into amazing young women.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
Jeremy About Abby: Abby is the most caring and giving woman that I've ever known. She lives by the motto that if you are able to help, you do. She was ready for motherhood for a long time and our inability to have biological children only increased her desire to be a mother. If she could accomplish it, we'd adopt every child in the world who needs a loving home. I have no doubt that any child is incredibly blessed to have her as a parent and that her actions will only increase my love and adoration for her.
Abby About Jeremy: Jeremy is always helping those around him to succeed in life, lending a helping hand on a project or providing insight on a problem that is troubling a friend. I love that he always supports me in anything I want to try in life and I respect his determination to make the most out of whatever he sets his mind to in life. I love his excitement in wanting to grow our family. His empathy and supportive nature will only increase with any child that becomes a part of our family. My love and respect grow every day watching him become the most talented, supportive, compassionate man that I have ever known.

Our House and Neighborhood
We absolutely adore our neighborhood and community. We live in the suburbs of St. Louis and chose our house last year based largely upon it being in a great school district. All of our schools are within five miles of the house and the elementary school is just down the street. Our home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two large living rooms which we hope provides us plenty of room to expand our family. We love spending time outdoors on our large front patio and driveway or planting new flowers and have recently started hosting neighborhood movie nights in our driveway with a projector shining on the garage doors.
Our neighborhood has lots of young families with children eager for more playmates. We have a large neighborhood pool where everyone gathers and the large city park down the street is always bustling with children. The neighborhood hosts several annual get-togethers and is considered a prime area to see beautiful Christmas lights and receive the best Halloween candy. We love decorating our home for every holiday and we're eagerly awaiting a child of our own to walk around the neighborhood on Halloween with us and join in on our family costumes.
Our Extended Families
We each have small but tight knit families. Abby has one younger sister and a brother in law that we love to visit with whenever possible. Abby's mom is recently retired and lives nearby along with her maternal grandparents. Her dad lives in Texas which provides us a fun travel destination. Jeremy's family lives within an hour and we visit each other often and enjoy travelling with them on camping trips and have even taken a couple of cruises with them.
Abby's family loves to gather at every possible occasion and play cards, especially hand and foot or pitch, while we enjoy each other's company. They also enjoy a yearly spring vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama to get some time in on the beach and ocean. Our daughter is currently the only grandchild on either side of our immediate families and spends countless hours with her grandparents being spoiled as they have an abundance of love for her and her future siblings. Our families have never hesitated for a second in embracing our decision to adopt and will love this child with everything they have.
From Us to You
First and foremost, we want to thank you for taking the time to read this profile and get to know a little bit about us. We understand that this is a difficult and stressful time and we hope that what you've read has begun to set your mind at ease. There are good people in the world, and we're looking for you just as hard as you're looking for us.
We want to let you know that adoption isn't simply a last resort for us, it has been a calling in our hearts for many years. We have been incredibly blessed in our lives to this point and feel compelled to share those blessings with someone who needs us as much as we need them. We always thought that we'd adopt after having a biological child or 2 of our own, but as often occurs in life, God had other plans. After struggling with infertility for several years, we have accepted that God intends for us to continue to grow our family through adoption, please help us reach that goal.
We have a wonderful, stable, and loving relationship and household. We dated for almost four years through college and have been married for another 11 years now. While we're always planning our next fun family vacation, we'd gladly give that up to come and visit your town to meet you and your child.
We promise that your child will never doubt that they are loved, appreciated, and supported. We intend to be open with them about their adoption throughout their entire life so that it's merely a part of who they are and nothing to feel awkward or different about. We love reading in our house and have collected numerous children's stories that include adopted characters and greatly look forward to reading them with another child. We are both avid readers and have continuous battles over who gets to read bedtime stories each night, voices included.
We're ready to grow our family but we can't do it on our own, everyone needs to ask for help sometimes and right now we need your help to make this dream a reality. We want to experience the wonder of Christmas morning through a child's eyes. We want to go trick or treating in corny family costumes throughout our neighborhood. We want to have Easter egg hunts all over the house and yard. We're ready to go camping, floating, hiking, swimming, and any other activity that a child would love. This child will have every opportunity that the world affords.
You have played a significant role in the life of this child and nothing will change that. We look forward to keeping in contact with you in a form that makes you feel comfortable. We're open to sending letters, emails, and pictures to mark milestones in the child's life. We're also open to a meeting before the birth if you desire. We want you to feel secure in knowing that this child is safe, happy, and loved beyond all measure. We will forever owe you a debt for this act of selflessness and you will be honored in our home. Again, thank you for allowing us to share our hearts with you and we hope that we can work together to make our dreams a reality.
Sincerely,
Jeremy & Abby
